Two bottles that look almost identical may perform differently once they reach a filling line. Before recommending a bottle, we normally look at four practical factors:

Filling Method

Is the beverage cold-filled or hot-filled?

The actual filling temperature should be confirmed before bottle selection because standard glass packaging should not automatically be assumed suitable for every thermal process.

Carbonation

Still juice and carbonated soda have different structural requirements.

For carbonated beverages, the expected internal pressure needs to be considered when selecting the bottle.

Closure

The bottle neck must match the intended closure.

Depending on the product, options may include screw caps, crown caps, twist-off closures or other compatible sealing systems.

Filling Line

Bottle height, body diameter and neck dimensions can affect compatibility with existing filling, capping and labeling equipment.

Stock Bottle or Custom Bottle?

A fully customized mold is not always the best starting point.

For a new beverage brand or a product being tested in the market, an existing bottle combined with custom labels, screen printing or coating can reduce development time and initial investment.

For an established product, however, a proprietary bottle can create stronger brand recognition.

There is no single standard capacity for beverage packaging.

Smaller 200–330ml glass beverage bottles are commonly used for single-serving juice, soda and functional drinks. 500ml bottles provide a versatile format for water, juice, milk and cold brew, while 750ml and 1L bottles work well for premium water and larger household beverage formats.

Custom capacities can also be developed when the project volume justifies dedicated tooling.

When comparing bottles, we recommend looking beyond nominal capacity. Bottle weight, overall dimensions, pallet efficiency and carton quantity can have a significant impact on the final landed packaging cost.

Make a Standard Bottle Look Like Your Brand

Bottle differentiation does not always require an expensive custom mold.

A well-selected stock bottle can be transformed through decoration.

Embossing integrates a logo or graphic element directly into the glass.

Screen printing creates a clean, label-free appearance for logos, illustrations and product information.

Frosting softens the surface and works particularly well for minimalist or premium beverage packaging.

Color coating allows brands to create matte, solid, translucent or gradient finishes without changing the basic bottle structure.

For many growing beverage brands, this approach provides a practical balance between packaging cost, development speed and visual differentiation.

From Bottle Selection to Bulk Supply

For an existing bottle, the process can be relatively straightforward: select the model, confirm the specification, evaluate samples, finalize decoration if required, and move into bulk production.

Custom projects involve additional bottle engineering and mold development before sampling.

During production, bottle dimensions, neck finish, appearance and packaging are checked according to the agreed specification. Finished bottles can then be decorated, packed and prepared for international shipment.

Our typical MOQ is 6,000 pieces, although the actual quantity depends on bottle design, color and decoration requirements.

Beverage Bottle Questions Buyers Often Ask

Can you supply empty beverage bottles without decoration?

Yes. Plain empty glass bottles can be supplied for customers who handle labeling or decoration locally.

Can I use the same bottle for juice and carbonated drinks?

Not necessarily. A bottle suitable for still juice should not automatically be assumed suitable for carbonation. Pressure requirements need to be confirmed separately.

Can you match my existing bottle?

Send us photographs, dimensions, capacity and ideally a physical sample or technical drawing. We can check existing molds first before considering new mold development.

Can you develop a bottle specifically for our brand?

Yes. Custom shape, embossing, capacity, neck finish and decoration can be developed according to the project requirements.

What is the MOQ?

For most projects, the MOQ typically starts from 6,000 bottles. Different colors, special production requirements and custom decoration may affect the final minimum quantity.
